UAE-based steel producer Al Ghurair Iron & Steel (AGIS) has successfully launched the SAP S/4HANA Cloud ERP system, streamlining all critical business processes, the company announced via social media.
AGIS is the first flat steel manufacturer in the region to adopt “RISE with SAP”, marking a significant milestone in its digital transformation journey aligned with the UAE Centre for the Fourth Industrial Revolution (C4IR), a collaboration between the Dubai Future Foundation and the World Economic Forum.
“As the largest coated flat steel producer in the UAE, Al Ghurair Iron & Steel leads the industry’s commitment to the UAE Government’s technology transformation initiatives. With SAP S/4HANA, we will enhance process efficiency, integrate value chains, leverage data-driven decision-making, and elevate the customer experience,” said Abu Bucker Husain, CEO of AGIS.
Established in 2008, AGIS is a joint venture between the Saif Al Ghurair Group and Japan’s Nippon Steel Corporation. The company has an annual capacity to process 500,000 tons of cold-rolled and galvanized flat steel coils.
