BAZ International Industry Co. has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with SAAL Industrial Technology Co., a subsidiary of China’s Baotou City Joyun Co., to cooperate in steel pipe manufacturing technologies.
The agreement focuses on localizing the production of seamless and spiral pipes used in water and gas applications, which are currently largely imported. The partnership aims to support the development of domestic manufacturing capabilities and reduce reliance on external supply.
Under the MoU, the two companies plan to establish an integrated industrial framework in Saudi Arabia, combining SAAL’s technical expertise with BAZ’s local market presence. BAZ has been active in the Kingdom’s steel sector since 1978.
The cooperation will also include technology transfer and workforce development initiatives to enhance local technical capabilities.
Founded in 1978 and headquartered in Dammam, BAZ International Industry Co. operates steel processing facilities in Dammam and Jeddah, supplying a broad range of commercial and industrial steel products across Saudi Arabia and the wider Gulf region. Its portfolio includes welded pipes, flat steel products and structural sections.
