UAE-based CIM Steel Industry LLC has announced the launch of production of its first pickled coil and cold rolled full hard (CRFH) coil at its facility in Umm Al Quwain Industrial City.
The company said the milestone marks the commissioning of key processing capabilities within its cold rolling complex and reflects the completion of a major phase of its steel manufacturing project.
CIM Steel thanked its project partners, including YOGIJI DIGI and Elegant Industry Consultant Pvt. Ltd., for their support during the development and commissioning of the facility.
The launch follows the inauguration last month of an integrated steel manufacturing and processing project involving CIM Steel Industry LLC, Rhino Steel Industry LLC and Metal Care Center Factory LLC in Umm Al Quwain.
The companies said the project represents an investment of more than USD 120 mln and spans approximately 1.4 mln square feet of industrial area, with combined annual steel production and processing capacity approaching 1 mln tons.
Under the project, CIM Steel Industry operates a cold rolling mill complex, while Rhino Steel Industry has commissioned a continuous Aluzinc coating line. Metal Care Center Factory operates a steel melt shop and downstream rolling mill focused on long steel products.
