Metso, a leading industrial company, has recently entered into an agreement with Sinosteel Corporation to deliver seven Larox FFP2512 pressure filtration units for the expansion of Tosyali Algeria’s iron concentrator plant in Algeria.
Sinosteel, serving as the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contractor for the Tosyali II Iron concentrator, has chosen Metso for this project based on their extensive experience in iron concentrate and tailing applications.
Metso has previously provided filters for Tosyali’s phase I project, meeting performance targets successfully.
The Larox FFP pressure filters, being supplied for this project, offer a reliable and optimized dewatering solution with high-volume processing capabilities for concentrates, tailings, and bulk applications.
Tosyali Algeria aims to achieve an annual production capacity of 500,000 tons of iron ore concentrate and plans to commence operations within a span of less than two years.
