Qatar Steel, the leading steel-making company in Qatar, has signed a 5-year agreement with Qatar Navigation Q.P.S.C. (Milaha), the industry-leading provider of maritime and logistics solutions, to provide stevedore services that will facilitate importing and exporting its manufactured products.
Under the agreement, Milaha will offer Qatar Steel comprehensive logistic and lifting services, including trailers, forklifts, and manpower, to ensure efficient and effective operations at Qatar Steel’s berth located at Mesaieed Industrial City (MIC).
Milaha will leverage its extensive logistics solutions to deliver stevedoring services for the export and import of Qatar Steel’s products, including rebars, billets, and wire rod. These services will include the provision of trailers, forklifts, and skilled manpower, ensuring the timely delivery of Qatar Steel products to destinations worldwide. According to the statement, this agreement will positively promote local steel industries, widen export opportunities, and increase marketing scalability, supporting core industries and the local manufacturing sector.
