Turkish steel producer Kardemir has raised its rebar and wire rod prices in the latest sales round, according to the company’s updated price list.
Rebar in sizes ranging from 12 to 32 mm is now offered at TRY 19,875 (USD 584) per ton, up from TRY 19,450 (USD 579) per ton on August 15, when the exchange rate was TRY 33.5 per USD.
Additionally, Kardemir has increased its wire rod prices by USD 5 per ton compared to the rates announced on August 22, 2024. The new prices are USD 610 per ton EXW for 5.5 mm SAE 1006 grade wire rod and USD 600 per ton EXW for 5.5 mm SAE 1008-1010 grade wire rod.
Founded in 1937, Kardemir is a major steel player in Turkey with a production capacity of 3.5 mln tons per year. The company’s product portfolio includes blooms, billets, rebars, profiles, and various other steel products, with manufacturing facilities strategically located in Karabuk.
