Wabash, North America’s largest producer of semi-trailers and liquid transportation systems, has announced a 10-year strategic agreement with Steel Dynamics, Inc., a leading steel producer and metal recycler. This partnership will secure essential steel components, including hot-rolled, galvanized, and painted steel and crossmembers, to support Wabash’s range of transportation solutions, such as van trailers, tank trailers, platform trailers, and truck bodies.
Steel Dynamics has been a trusted supplier for 14 years, playing a vital role in supporting Wabash’s expansion. This new agreement guarantees priority capacity and backup supply from multiple Steel Dynamics facilities, ensuring a robust domestic steel supply chain. With this secured supply, Wabash can continue providing uninterrupted service to its customers, particularly during peak demand.
Steel Dynamics, one of the largest domestic steel producers and recyclers, operates facilities throughout the U.S. and Mexico. The company produces a wide range of steel products, including hot and cold-rolled steel, structural beams, rail, specialty steel, and liquid pig iron, while also processing and selling ferrous and nonferrous scrap.
