    NMDC increases iron ore prices

    India’s leading iron ore producer and exporter, the National Mineral Development Corporation (NMDC), has raised prices by INR 400 (USD 4.76) per ton for both lump and fines iron ore.

    According to a stock exchange filing, the new prices are INR 5,750 (USD 68.5) per ton for lump ore (65.5pct grade, 10-40 mm) and INR 5,010 (USD 59.7) per ton for fines (64pct grade, 10 mm).

    These prices include royalty, DMF, and NMET but exclude cess, forest permit fees, transit fees, GST, environmental cess, and other taxes.

    With operations spanning three fully mechanized mines, two in Chhattisgarh and one in Karnataka, NMDC collectively produces approximately 35 mln tons of iron ore, cementing its status as a key player in India’s iron ore sector.
