India’s JTL Industries Limited has successfully expanded its Raipur facility’s capacity from 100,000 to 200,000 tons per annum, according to a recent stock exchange filing. This expansion brings JTL’s total pipe manufacturing capacity to 686,000 tons per annum, reflecting the company’s commitment to reaching 1 mln tons per annum by year-end.
The Raipur plant’s size range has also grown from a maximum of 4 inches to 8 inches, allowing for the production of larger and more diverse tubes and pipes to serve a broader range of industries. Additionally, this expansion will introduce 200 new stock-keeping units (SKUs), with 50pct of Raipur’s increased capacity dedicated to value-added products, supporting JTL’s strategy to boost its value-added offerings.
Headquartered in Chandigarh, JTL Industries is one of India’s largest producers of ERW pipes, with manufacturing facilities in Punjab, Maharashtra, and Chhattisgarh. The company’s total pipe manufacturing capacity now stands at 686,000 tons per annum, complemented by 300,000 tons per annum of backward integration capacity. JTL’s product line includes GI pipes, black pipes, hollow sections, and solar structures, catering to a variety of industrial and infrastructure needs.
