Turkey’s wire rod exports reached approximately 736,300 tons in the first nine months of 2024, a sharp increase of 76pct compared to the same period last year, according to the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK).
Romania was the largest destination for Turkish wire rods, importing 237,500 tons, followed by Bulgaria with around 67,000 tons and Australia with approximately 56,000 tons.
In September 2024, Turkey exported about 121,000 tons of wire rods, marking a sharp 122pct YoY increase and a 183pct rise compared to the previous month.
