Acerinox, a multi-national high-performance alloy and stainless steel manufacturing group based in Madrid, Spain, has finalized the acquisition of Haynes International through its U.S. subsidiary, North American Stainless (NAS), the company announced in a press release. Haynes International is a major U.S.-based manufacturer and marketer of advanced high-performance alloys.
Following the acquisition, Haynes will join forces with VDM Metals under Acerinox’s newly established High-Performance Alloys (HPA) division, marking a significant expansion of the company’s capabilities.
As part of its growth plan, Acerinox plans to invest approximately USD 200 mln over the next four years into its U.S. operations, with a primary focus on enhancing Haynes’s facilities in Kokomo.
This integration aligns with Acerinox’s strategic priorities, including strengthening its presence in the U.S. market, advancing high-performance alloy offerings, and expanding its footprint in the aerospace sector. The investment aims to create a fully integrated platform for high-performance alloys and stainless steel, solidifying Acerinox’s position as a leader in the industry, the company said.
Acerinox Group is a major player in stainless steel and high-performance alloys, with a global presence on five continents, factories on four continents, and customers in 81 countries.
