Turkey exported approximately 1.54 mln tons of welded steel pipes in the first nine months of 2024, a 9pct increase compared to the same period last year, according to data from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK).
Romania was the largest importer, receiving around 307,700 tons, followed by the UK with 144,800 tons, the US with 115,700 tons, and Iraq with 105,400 tons.
In September 2024, welded steel pipe exports totaled about 213,400 tons. This marks a 3pct YoY decline but a 31pct increase compared to August.
