Cemas Dokum, part of Isiklar Holding, is advancing its sustainability and efficiency-focused growth strategy. The company has doubled its metal casting capacity to 50,000 tons per year and aims to meet 60pct of its electricity needs from solar energy with a 20 MW solar power plant (GES) nearing completion. These efforts, part of investments accelerated in 2020, align with its goal of achieving carbon neutrality and establishing a sustainable production facility.
Cemas Dokum recently received Ford Trucks’ prestigious Q1 Quality Award and continues to enhance quality and efficiency through investments in new melting furnaces, molding lines, machining facilities, powder paint and cataphoresis coating systems, and a production management system (MES), the company said.
As a signatory of the UN Global Compact, the company is focused on sustainability with projects including two hydroelectric power plants (14 MW), scrap metal recycling, and in-house waste recycling. The upcoming 13 MW solar plant will allow Cemas Dokum to source 60pct of its electricity from renewable energy.
Commenting on the investments, Isiklar Holding Chairman Riza Kutlu Işık stated, “Cemas Dokum is maximizing both production efficiency and environmental responsibility. These investments will further accelerate our export growth, particularly in European and American markets.” Cemas, established in 1976 to supply alloyed grinding balls to cement and mining companies, was acquired by Isiklar Holding in 1995.
