Turkey’s rebar exports fell by 1.6pct YoY to 2.76 mln tons in the first ten months of 2024, according to data from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK).
During the January-October period, Yemen was the largest importer of Turkish rebar, receiving 510,700 tons. Romania followed with 196,900 tons, and Albania ranked third with 179,200 tons.
In October 2024 alone, rebar exports dropped sharply, declining by 24pct YoY and 34.7pct compared to the previous month, totaling 219,600 tons.
