Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has awarded the AED 20.5 bln (USD 5.58 bln) Dubai Metro Blue Line contract to a consortium of MAPA, LIMAK, and CRRC. The project, spanning 30 kilometers and 14 stations, will include 15.5 kilometers of underground and 14.5 kilometers of elevated tracks.
The consortium was selected through an international tender process that involved five alliances and 15 global metro and infrastructure companies. MAPA and LIMAK will handle civil works, while CRRC will manage rail systems.
Construction is set to begin in April 2025, with completion and operations scheduled for September 2029.
