Turkey’s Ministry of Commerce has initiated an antidumping investigation into imports of cold-rolled, galvanized, and painted coils from China and South Korea, according to an announcement published in the Turkish official gazette.
The investigation was launched following a request by the Cold Rolled Galvanized and Painted Coil Producers Association, representing domestic producers such as Atakas, Borcelik, Gazi Metal, MMK, Tatmetal, Tezcan, and Yildiz Iron & Steel.
The ministry stated that sufficient evidence and documentation were provided to justify the probe. Based on the decision of the Unfair Competition Assessment Board in Imports, the investigation has been initiated under Article 20 of the relevant regulation.
The inquiry will evaluate potential dumping activities for the period between July 1, 2023, and June 30, 2024.
