India’s largest iron ore miner, NMDC Ltd, reported a 5.1pct YoY increase in production for December 2024, reaching 4.71 mln tons, up from 4.48 mln tons in December 2023.
However, sales of iron ore declined by 6.7pct YoY, totaling 3.91 mln tons in December 2024, down from 4.19 mln tons in the same month last year.
For the full year up to December 2024, NMDC’s total production amounted to 30.77 mln tons, a 3.2pct YoY decrease. Meanwhile, cumulative sales for the year reached 31.80 mln tons, marking a slight decline of 0.4pct compared to the previous year.
