ArcelorMittal Tubular Products Al-Jubail (AMTPJ) has selected Danieli Automation DIGI&MET for new Manufacturing Execution System (MES) and Business Intelligence (BI) projects for its two seamless pipe plants, ArcelorMittal Jubail (AMJ) and Jubail Energy Services Company (JESCO), according to a statement from Danieli Automation.
JESCO has been using Danieli’s MES since it began operations, and this new order reinforces the long-standing partnership. The upgrade will introduce the latest web-based Q3-MET MES, replacing the existing MES for both AMJ and JESCO. The unified MES solution will integrate Q3-MET MES and Q3-Intelligence BI for plant operations, providing data analytics from the new MES and Level 2 process control systems.
This project aims to deliver real-time data, advanced analytics, and seamless SAP integration, allowing AMTPJ to make informed decisions and maintain its competitive edge, the company added.
AMTPJ, a seamless tube mill in Saudi Arabia, serves the rapidly growing energy markets in Saudi Arabia, the Middle East, North Africa, and beyond. The company started operations in 2014 with a designed capacity of 600,000 tons per annum. It produces a wide range of products for the upstream, midstream, and downstream energy markets, as well as industrial and process applications.
