CB&I, a leading provider of storage facilities, tanks, and terminals, has secured a substantial lump sum contract, valued between USD 250 mln and USD 500 mln, for a liquefied natural gas (LNG) project in Ruwais, Abu Dhabi. The contract was awarded by TJN Ruwais JV, a joint venture between Technip Energies, JGC Corporation, and NMDC Energy.
The scope includes engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) services, along with civil, structural, mechanical, and piping works for the LNG project. CB&I will deliver two 180,000-cubic-meter full containment concrete LNG tanks, complete with piping and civil infrastructure. Project execution will be led from CB&I’s UAE office for tank construction, with engineering support from Plainfield, Illinois, and fabrication and modularization assistance from its offices in Saudi Arabia and Thailand.
Construction is set to begin in November, with completion expected in early 2028.
