Shandong Shouguang Juneng Special Steel is the first steelmaker in China to utilize the advanced Danieli Drawer technology for SBQ production, enhancing both quality and flexibility.
This technology is part of the 600,000-ton-per-year special steel bar mill located in Shouguang, where the bar precision sizing unit is installed directly after the finishing stands.
The mill produces high-quality bars with diameters ranging from 16 to 80 mm, including alloy structural steels, bearing steels, and spring steels for various industrial applications.
The drawer technology is based on Danieli’s patented 4-roll system, which allows for high-reduction and precise sizing of the bars using four roll modules in sequence, achieving a “zero” spread of the rolled product.
The Danieli precision sizing unit incorporates advanced automation in the rolling process, enabling accurate control over deformation temperature and cooling rate while detecting product size in real time. SBQ bars processed by the Drawer meet the 1/8 EN10060 standards. By operating the Danieli Drawer, Juneng Special Steel can efficiently respond to small-batch production and frequent specification changes, providing exceptional flexibility in their manufacturing process.
