Lloyds Metals & Energy Ltd. has selected Sarralle to build a new greenfield meltshop in Ghugus, Maharashtra, India. The facility, slated to produce 1.2 mln tons of long steel products annually, will be designed, manufactured, and overseen by Sarralle, according to a company press release.
Sarralle’s scope includes the design, supply, and commissioning of major equipment for the meltshop, featuring two 50-ton electric arc furnaces, three 50-ton ladle furnaces, two fume extraction systems, a vacuum degasser, a continuous casting machine, and all necessary auxiliary equipment. Commissioning is planned for 2026.
