Turkey’s wire rod exports reached 919,900 tons in 2024, up 27pct YoY, according to the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK).
Romania was the largest buyer, importing around 310,500 tons, followed by Bulgaria with 81,650 tons and Australia with approximately 80,000 tons. Other key destinations included Bosnia (45,750 tons), Spain (40,000 tons), Belgium (34,550 tons), and Italy (32,850 tons).
In December 2024, exports rose nearly 15pct YoY to 127,250 tons.
