Turkey imported 3.26 mln tons of billets from January to November 2024, marking a 12pct YoY increase, according to the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK).
Russia was the top supplier during this period, providing nearly 639,000 tons, followed by Malaysia with 604,000 tons and China with 397,500 tons.
In November 2024, Turkey imported around 479,500 tons of billets, a significant YoY increase of over 100pct. However, this figure represents a 24pct decline compared to the previous month.
