SSAB’s Ruukki to supply low carbon products for logistics center project in Tampere

Ruukki Construction, a subsidiary of SSAB, has partnered with Logicenters, Nrep’s logistics division, to provide solutions for a new logistics center in Tampere, Finland.

The facility will utilize Ruukki LowCarbon products, significantly reducing lifecycle emissions. Ruukki will deliver sandwich panels and design profiles from its LowCarbon range, including next-generation SSAB Zero steel and SSAB Fossil-free steel.

The 30,000 m2 logistics center will incorporate around 10,000 m2 of sandwich panels and 500 m2 of design profiles. Using these LowCarbon products will cut the building’s climate impact by up to 50pct compared to standard steel.

The products will be supplied in the second and third quarters of 2024, with the center expected to be completed by the end of the year.
