Hydnum Steel signs MoU with Euroports for integrated logistics solutions

Hydnum Steel, Spain’s first green steel plant, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Euroports, a leading European port and logistics operator, to develop integrated logistics solutions for optimizing the steel supply chain across Europe.

The agreement focuses on creating an efficient logistics network for the transportation, storage, and distribution of steel coils produced at Hydnum Steel’s Puertollano plant. It also aims to improve logistics for key raw materials such as ferrous scrap, green metallics, and iron ore.

Leveraging Euroports’ expertise in port infrastructure and logistics, the partnership will address Hydnum Steel’s needs for reliable logistics services for both raw material imports and green steel coil exports.

Hydnum Steel plans to start construction work on its Puertollano plant in 2025. The plant will have an initial production capacity of 1.5 mln tons of flat-rolled steel per year, expanding to 2.6 mln tons in later phases.
