Turkey’s Kocaer Steel was recently recognized by ResponsibleSteel, a global initiative focused on socially and environmentally responsible, net-zero steel production.
The company is committed to supporting Turkey’s 2053 net-zero target through innovation and resource efficiency, ensuring every stage of production meets high social and environmental standards, according to ResponsibleSteel.
Kocaer Steel’s membership in ResponsibleSteel allows the company to advance its sustainability goals. “We are committed to reducing carbon emissions, improving resource efficiency, and promoting responsible practices across our supply chain,” said Mehmet Cakmur, General Manager at Kocaer Steel. “Together with our stakeholders, we will continue to lead in responsible production and societal contribution in the steel industry.”
Kocaer Celik’s annual production capacity of steel profiles is 800,000 tons per annum. The company have 3 steel profile factories, a 100,000 tons per year galvanizing factory, and a 120,000 tons per annum service center in Turkey.
