Arabian Gulf Steel Industries (AGSI) and Sustain Labs Paris (SLP) have partnered to launch the AGSI Youth Microgrant for Circularity, announced at GITEX 2025.
The program will provide UAE high school and university students with funding, mentorship, and technical learning to design community projects focused on circularity, such as water conservation, reuse, and waste reduction.
The initiative, the first collaboration between AGSI and SLP, aligns with the UAE’s sustainability and knowledge-economy goals. The first cycle begins in October 2025 with 200 participants, who will showcase their projects by Earth Day 2026.
AGSI’s current production capacity includes 450,000 tons of billet, 360,000 tons of rebar, and 240,000 tons of light and medium sections annually.
