Egyptian steel producer Ashry Steel has expanded its product portfolio with the launch of a new high-strength rebar grade, the company said in a statement.
The newly introduced B420 DWR rebar offers higher load-bearing capacity, enabling reduced steel usage without compromising safety. The grade is also designed to improve structural performance in seismic conditions by lowering the risk of collapse, according to the company.
Founded in 1983, Ashry Steel has an annual production capacity of around 2 mln tons, manufacturing rebar, merchant bars, ERW welded tubes, and operating a flat steel service center. The company is currently developing a 1 mln tons per annum billet plant, a 250,000 tons per year seamless stainless steel pipe facility, and a cold-rolling complex in Sadat City with 350,000 tons per annum capacity for galvanized and pre-painted steel products.
