Bahrain’s Arab Shipbuilding and Repair Yard (ASRY), the Arabian Gulf’s leading maritime repair and fabrication facility, has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Abu Dhabi Ship Building (ADSB), a subsidiary of EDGE Group and a regional leader in naval and commercial vessel construction, repair, and maintenance.
Under the agreement, both companies will collaborate on building new naval auxiliary vessels and port crafts while forming a joint committee to evaluate project feasibility.
ASRY’s CEO, Dr. Al Abri, stated that combining ASRY’s advanced technical capabilities with ADSB’s extensive expertise will reinforce their position as a leading maritime hub, providing integrated solutions to clients worldwide. The partnership aims to advance the shipbuilding industry and enhance regional cooperation.
Founded in 1977 in Bahrain, ASRY specializes in ship repair and conversion, rig and naval repair, and fabrication and engineering. Its services cover a wide range of vessel repairs, including jack-up rigs and offshore assets, as well as the fabrication of onshore and offshore industrial components.
