Egyptian rebar manufacturer, Misr National Steel (Ataqa) reported a 94.68pct YoY decline in net profit in 2025, according to its financial results filed with the Egyptian Exchange (EGX).
The company posted a net profit after tax of EGP 30.7 mln (USD 0.6 mln), compared with EGP 577.7 mln in 2024.
Despite the sharp drop in earnings, sales increased to EGP 6.33 bln (USD 125 mln), up from EGP 5.43 bln in the previous year.
