Turkey imported 4.3 mln tons of billets in 2025, up 16pct YoY, according to data from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK).
Russia remained the largest billet supplier to Turkey last year, shipping 1.05 mln tons. Malaysia ranked second with 903,700 tons, followed by China, which supplied 832,900 tons.
In December 2025, Turkey’s billet imports totaled 342,800 tons, representing a 32pct increase YoY, though volumes were 18pct lower compared with November.
