Turkey’s billet imports declined by over 24pct YoY in January 2026 to 294,400 tons, according to data from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK).
The country’s billet imports were also down 14pct compared with the previous month.
China was the largest billet supplier to Turkey during the month, exporting around 64,000 tons. Ukraine followed with 46,600 tons, while Russia supplied 37,500 tons.
