BMS Birlesik (BMS Wire), a leading Turkish producer of galvanized steel wire, announced that its board of directors has approved an investment in two wire drawing machines, according to a stock exchange filing.
Based on feasibility studies, the investment is estimated at around USD 1 mln and is expected to be operational by July 2025. This new equipment will add a total of 36,000 tons of production capacity over the next five years, BMS Wire stated.
The company also projected that the investment would generate approximately USD 4.3 mln in EBITDA and a total turnover of USD 41 mln over the same period.
Based in Kocaeli, BMS Wire operates with an annual production capacity of 72,000 tons, specialized in manufacturing galvanized, zinc-aluminum coated, stranded, and black annealed wire products.
