Turkish steel producer Cemtas Celik reported a net loss of TRY 115.96 mln (USD 2.64 mln) for the full year 2025, widening from a net loss of TRY 39 mln recorded in 2024, according to the company’s stock exchange filings.
The company generated total revenues of TRY 6.27 bln (USD 143 mln) in 2025, representing a 17pct YoY decline, reflecting challenging market conditions, lower steel prices, and pressure on margins throughout the year.
From an operational standpoint, billet production reached 148,476 tons, down 1.1pct YoY, while finished steel output increased slightly by 0.9pct to 136,109 tons.
On the sales side, domestic deliveries fell 10.7pct YoY to 85,067 tons. In contrast, export sales rose 13.7pct YoY to 48,069 tons.
Established in 1970, Cemtas specializes in manufacturing and supplying various steel types, including bearing steel, free-cutting steel, spring steel, and tool steel. The company operates a melt shop with an annual production capacity of 193,204 tons and a rolling mill with an annual production capacity of 207,360 tons.
