Customs extends AD tariffs on CR stainless steel imports rom China & South Korea

Taiwan’s Customs Administration has extended anti-dumping duties on cold-rolled stainless steel from China and South Korea for another five years. The tariffs, set at 38.11pct for Chinese imports and 37.65pct for South Korean imports, will remain in place until March 17, 2030.

The decision follows a sunset review conducted by the Ministry of Finance (MOF) and the Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA), which concluded that removing the duties could harm local producers. Additionally, MOEA’s analysis found no significant economic drawbacks for the affected countries.

Taiwan first imposed these duties on August 15, 2013, after a request from Yieh United Steel Corp. The company applied for an extension on February 19, 2024, prompting a new investigation announced on August 7, 2024.
