UAE’s leading steel producer, EMSTEEL (formerly Emirates Steel Arkan), has announced the election of its board of directors for a three-year term, according to a stock exchange filing.
The newly elected members are Hamad Abdulla Mohamed Alshorafa Alhammadi, Saeed Ghumran Saeed Salem Al Remeithi, Abdulaziz Abdulla Ismail Mohamed Alhajri, Nabeel Qadir, Fatima Abdulla Mohamed Sharif Abdulla Alfahim, Farah Abdulla Mohamed Al Mazrui, and Ahmed Ali Muhammad Ali Al Shamsi.
Headquartered in Abu Dhabi, EMSTEEL has a production capacity of 3.5 mln tons of steel and 4.6 mln tons of cement annually. The group exports to over 70 markets, accounting for 30pct of its sales. The company offers a diverse range of steel products, including wire rod, rebar, heavy sections, and sheet piles.
