Group Five, SWCC revise Ras Al Khair steel pipeline contract to expedite completion

Saudi Arabia’s Group Five Pipe Saudi Co. announced that it has mutually agreed with the Saline Water Conversion Corporation (SWCC) to reduce the total pipe supply for the Ras Al Khair Project by 39pct, according to a stock exchange filing.

The adjustment aligns with authorities’ plans to accelerate project completion ahead of schedule. The remaining quantities will be delivered by Q1 2026 under the approved delivery timeline. The company noted that the reduction will not impact its 2025-26 operational plans.

Group Five signed the USD 800 mln contract with SWCC in March 2024 to supply spiral-welded steel pipes for the Ras Al Khair-Riyadh water transmission project.

The company said management remains optimistic about future growth, citing strong domestic demand for water transmission infrastructure and alignment with Saudi Vision 2030 initiatives aimed at expanding national water reserves and infrastructure capacity.

Group Five operates five production lines with a combined annual capacity of 700,000 tons, supplying spiral pipes across the region.
