Saudi Iron and Steel Company (Hadeed) has achieved a new monthly billet production record at its Jubail plant, producing 103,227 tons in October 2025, surpassing the previous record of 101,304 tons set in July.
The company also reported a record annual billet output of 1.11 mln tons in 2025.
The milestone was supported by Danieli Service, which provided technical assistance for the production and processing of high-carbon steel grades across the electric arc furnace (EAF), continuous casting machine and rod mill.
As part of the project, around 30,000 tons of high-carbon billets were produced and rolled into 11 mm wire rod coils with 0.8pct carbon content, ensuring stable operations and consistent product quality.
The Danieli-supplied EAF and rod mill, commissioned in 2015, have annual capacities of 1.1 mln tons and 0.5 mln tons, respectively, producing 150×150 mm billets across a range of special steel grades.
Hadeed is the GCC’s major steel producer with an annual capacity of 3.8 mln tons of long products and 2.2 mln tons of flat products. The company was acquired by the Public Investment Fund in May 2024.
