Hascelik, one of Turkey’s leading specialty steel producers, has successfully completed hot-rolling trial production of free-cutting steel at its Bilecik mill.
The trials covered various diameters of 11SMn30 (1.0715) billets cast at the compan’s steel facility, with all mechanical, microstructural, and surface quality checks validated by Hascelik’s quality control teams.
The company said the successful production of 11SMn30,a key grade for the automotive, machinery, and fastener industries due to its high machinability, will allow it to offer customers enhanced and reliable quality.
Hascelik is a major exporter of bright steel and a leading Turkish producer of hot-rolled special steel, cold-worked bright steel, and grinding balls.
