Interpipe Steel has commissioned Danieli to supply a new 310-mm round section for its continuous casting machine #2 (CCM #2) at the company’s EAF-based greenfield steelmaking complex.
The upgrade will extend CCM #2’s casting range to include 310-mm round billets, improving production flexibility. Danieli’s scope includes detailed engineering as well as mechanical and process design to ensure seamless integration with existing casting infrastructure.
The new section is designed to support high-quality steel grades while maintaining operational efficiency and reliability, in line with current performance standards. Commissioning is expected before year-end.
