ISPC secures ECAS certification for rebar exports to UAE

Saudi Arabia’s Al-Ittefaq Steel Products Company (ISPC) has received formal approval for its rebar products under both the Emirates Conformity Assessment Scheme (ECAS) and the Emirates Quality Mark (EQM), certified by CARES. ISPC is the first Saudi Arabian company to obtain this certification. The approval paves the way for the company to expand its rebar sales into the UAE market.

According to the certificate, ISPC is authorized to supply BS 4449:2005+A3:2016 grade B500B rebar in diameters ranging from 10 mm to 50 mm, valid for a period of three years.

The ECAS scheme ensures reinforcement steel meets strict standards for strength, durability, and sustainability, with enhanced traceability supporting a safer, better-regulated construction sector.

ISPC already exports rebar across the GCC and to markets including Egypt, Lebanon, Jordan, Myanmar, Oman, Iraq, Hong Kong, Canada, and Jordan. To strengthen its international presence, the company holds certifications from SASO (KSA), CARES (UK), DCL, ECAS (UAE), CEDD (Hong Kong), SS 560 (Singapore), ISO (Kuwait), SIRIM (Malaysia), and CSA Gr-400W (Canada).

Founded in 1989 and headquartered in Dammam, ISPC is one of the largest private steel manufacturer in the Middle East, with an annual production capacity of 2.5 mln tons of rebar and wire rod.
