Jindal (India) Limited, part of the B.C. Jindal Group and a leading manufacturer of downstream steel products in India, has signed a supply agreement with John Cockerill India Limited for a state-of-the-art colour coating line (CCL) to be installed at its Ranihati Works.
This new line will significantly increase Jindal’s annual production capacity of coated steel, enhancing its presence in the high-end steel market. The contract includes the delivery of a complete CCL system, featuring two pay-off reels, a stitcher machine, a multi-stage cleaning section, a vertical entry accumulator, a tension leveller, chemical coating equipment, drying and curing ovens, an inspection station, and two tension reels. Equipped with advanced technology, the CCL will handle various steel strip thicknesses and widths, producing coated products with polyester, epoxy, PVC, PU, and more. Expected to be operational by the end of 2025, the new line will help Jindal (India) meet rising demand for premium steel products and strengthen its market leadership.
