JSW Steel’s consolidated steel output rises 9pct YoY in Oct 2025

JSW Steel reported a 9pct YoY increase in consolidated crude steel production to 2.5 mln tons in October 2025, according to a stock exchange filing.

India operations contributed 2.41 mln tons, up 10pct, with capacity utilization at 83pct, impacted by the shutdown of Blast Furnace 3 (BF3) at Vijayanagar for an upgrade from 3 to 4.5 mln tons per annum. Excluding BF3, utilization was 92pct. The upgraded blast furnace is expected to resume production in February 2026.

JSW Steel’s USA-Ohio operations produced 83,000 tons in October, slightly higher than 82,000 tons a year earlier.

JSW Steel’s consolidated crude steel capacity stands at 35.7 mln tons per annum, including 1.5 mln tons in the U.S., with plans to expand to 43.4 mln tons within three years.
