JSW Steel reported a 5pct YoY increase in consolidated crude steel production to 2.43 mln tons in November 2025, according to a stock exchange filing.
The growth was driven entirely by its Indian operations, which produced 2.36 mln tons, up 5pct YoY, despite capacity constraints at the Vijayanagar Works. Capacity utilization stood at 84pct, impacted by the shutdown of Blast Furnace 3 for an upgrade to 4.5 mln tons per annum; excluding BF3, utilization reached 93pct. The upgraded furnace is expected to restart in February 2026.
JSW Steel’s USA-Ohio operations produced 78,000 tons, compared to 70,000 tons a year earlier.
JSW Steel’s consolidated crude steel capacity stands at 35.7 mln tons per annum, including 1.5 mln tons in the U.S., with plans to expand to 43.4 mln tons within three years.
