Turkish steel producer Kardemir has lowered prices for rebar and wire rod in its latest price list.
The company is now offering rebar (12-32 mm) at TRY 21,455 (USD 626) per ton EXW, down from TRY 22,000 (USD 642) per ton EXW announced in mid-October, based on an exchange rate of TRY 34.2 per USD.
Kardemir also reduced wire rod prices by USD 10 per ton. The new prices are USD 655 per ton EXW for 5.5 mm SAE 1006 grade wire rod and USD 645 per ton EXW for 5.5 mm SAE 1008-1010 grade wire rod.
Founded in 1937, Kardemir is a major steel player in Turkey with a production capacity of 3.5 mln tons per year. The company’s product portfolio includes blooms, billets, rebars, profiles, and various other steel products, with manufacturing facilities strategically located in Karabuk.
