Turkish steelmaker Kardemir has increased its wire rod prices, according to its latest price list.
The company is now offering 5.5 mm SAE 1006 grade at USD 605 per ton EXW, while 5.5 mm SAE 1008-1010 grades are offered at USD 595 per ton EXW, reflecting a USD 10 per ton increase from the prices announced on October 9.
Founded in 1937, Kardemir is a major steel player in Turkey with a production capacity of 3.5 mln tons per year. The company produces blooms, billets, rebars, wire rods, profiles along with other steel products. The company’s production facilities are located in Karabuk.
