Lamprell to fabricate transition pieces for RWE’s projects

Lamprell Energy Limited has secured two significant contracts from RWE, a global leader in offshore wind, for the supply of transition pieces for the Norfolk Vanguard West and Norfolk Vanguard East offshore wind projects on the UK’s east coast. As per the contracts, Lamprell will manufacture and supply 92 transition pieces for each wind farm and transport the structures to RWE’s designated marshalling port once it is confirmed.

Lamprell will utilize its advanced serial production line, commissioned in 2023, to fabricate the transition pieces. This facility, which completed its first project in 2024 by delivering over 60 similar structures for a Scottish wind farm, highlights the company’s growing role in offshore wind manufacturing.

As a prominent player in the international energy sector, Lamprell is known for its expertise in building complex offshore and onshore process modules, platforms, and the fabrication and refurbishment of jack-up rigs and liftboats. The company’s main facilities in Hamriyah, UAE, span over 750,000 square meters, with 1.2 kilometers of quayside. Lamprell also has a presence in Saudi Arabia through a joint venture.
