India’s major engineering firm, Larsen & Toubro (L&T) has strengthened its commitment to Saudi Arabia’s vision of a diversified and self-sustaining economy. In line with the IKTVA (In-Kingdom Total Value Add) initiative of Aramco and Saudi Vision 2030, L&T has expanded its hi-tech manufacturing capability by inaugurating a state-of-the-art heavy wall pressure vessel facility in Saudi Arabia, the company said in a press release.
Spanning 120,000 sq. m. in the strategically located Royal Commission Jubail Industrial Area-1, this advanced facility will employ modern machinery, process automation, and robotics to manufacture static equipment with complex metallurgy and heavy wall thicknesses.
The facility aims to meet critical equipment demands in the oil & gas, power, and process industries, promoting local employment and reducing dependence on imports.
It will elevate the region’s manufacturing capabilities, offering Saudi Arabia’s workforce a valuable opportunity to enhance their skills and align with international manufacturing standards, L&T said in a statement.
