Middle East Iron & Steel 2025, organised by Fastmarkets, will return to Dubai’s Madinat Jumeirah on November 17-19 for its 28th edition, bringing together over 1,500 industry leaders from more than 60 countries. The event takes place as the region cements its position as a global industrial hub, with over USD 3 trillion in active and planned projects and steel consumption forecast to exceed 65 mln tons by 2027.
This year’s conference comes at a defining moment for global steel trade. Rising protectionism, including the EU’s proposal to lift import tariffs to 50pct, is reshaping supply chains. In response, MENA producers are accelerating investment in industrial diversification, green-steel capacity, and large-scale infrastructure, led by Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and Egypt.
According to Fastmarkets, regional projects across energy, renewables, and giga-developments are expected to lift steel demand by up to 4pct annually through 2027.
The UAE continues to lead in sustainable manufacturing, with EMSTEEL Group, the nation’s largest steel and building materials producer and regional host sponsor of MEIS 2025, championing integrated and low-carbon production.
The event will also feature top producers including Ezz Steel, Hadeed, Al Ashry Steel, Al Madina Steel, Qatar Steel, and SULB, alongside leading technology and raw material suppliers such as Danieli Group, Primetals Technologies, Midrex, Rio Tinto, Vale, and Vesuvius.
MESTEEL is the official media partner of Middle East Iron & Steel 2025, offering exclusive discounts to its members.
