Malaysia’s Ministry of Investment, Trade and Industry (MITI) has announced provisional anti-dumping duties ranging from 3.86pct to 57.90pct on galvanized steel imports from China, South Korea, and Vietnam.
The duties, implemented in the form of a bank guarantee, aim to prevent further harm to the domestic steel industry. The notice did not specify individual rates for each country.
The provisional measures will be in effect for a maximum of 120 days starting from July 7, 2025, with a final determination expected by November 3, 2025.
